Terms of Use

1. What Apigami is

Apigami is operated by Apigami SAS, a French société par actions simplifiée (“we”, “us”). We provide the Apigami software that runs in your browser, the website apigami.com and a relay service that let services and community-built applications you explicitly authorize work through your own browser, on the sites you approve — site by site, revocable at any time. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account and early access

Using Apigami requires an Apigami account, identified by your email address. Anyone can create one, and creating it is free. It has no password: you sign in with a code or a link sent to that address, so keep access to your mailbox to yourself, and give an address that is yours. You are responsible for what is done through your account and through the browsers you attach to it.

From version 0.15.0 of Apigami in your browser, a browser is attached to your account only when you accept it in Apigami's own window, in that browser, which shows the email address of the account. An older version is attached by the page of Apigami itself, when you complete that page in that browser signed in to your account, and it updates automatically. Attach only a browser you are entitled to use, and detach it when you stop using it: anyone using the same browser profile can see which accounts it is attached to, and the services connected to your account can work through it until you detach it, from your account page or, from version 0.15.0, from Apigami's settings in that browser.

Apigami is in early development. Features shown on this site — including the application store, its applications and their figures — are a preview and may change or never ship. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. You may stop using Apigami and ask us to delete your account at any time.

3. Acceptable use

When you use Apigami, you agree to:

• use it only with your own accounts and sessions, on sites you are entitled to use, and in compliance with those sites' own terms of service — you are responsible for what the services you authorize do on your behalf;
• not use it for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purposes, including accessing accounts or data that are not yours or impersonating anyone without their consent;
• not probe, overload, disrupt or circumvent the security of the service, and not resell or misrepresent it as your own.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these rules.

4. Your authorizations

Every service works only on the sites you explicitly approved, and only until you revoke that approval. From version 0.15.0 of Apigami in your browser, an approval or a revocation applies to the account the authorization window or the settings line names, in every browser attached to that account; an older version decides for every account attached to the browser. You decide what to authorize; review what a service asks for before approving it. Services you authorize are third parties with their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control.

5. Intellectual property

The Apigami name, site, software and service are ours (or our licensors') and protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them as intended. Third-party sites, services and applications remain the property of their respective owners; example names used on this site (such as acme.com or example.com) are generic. If you send us feedback, you grant us a free, perpetual right to use it.

6. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or that any given site will keep working with any given service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apigami shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, data or business, arising from the use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including death or personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, and the rights consumers hold under mandatory law (see §9).

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on this site or in Apigami. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of Paris have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts there.
